Asiana Airlines awarded the Grand Prize in the Customer Satisfaction for 12 consecutive years


Asiana Airlines received the grand prize at the Customer Satisfaction Awards hosted by KPC (Korea Productivity Center) in Seoul at the COEX Intercontinental Hotel.
In joint development with the University of Michigan in the United States, KPC conducted the NCSI (National Customer Satisfaction Index) survey among customers 18 years of age and older who traveled at least 4 times in the last year.
Asiana Airlines continues to be at the top of the NCSI for domestic flight service, the 12th consecutive year since the NCSI was first introduced.
According to Sang-Hwan Oh (Vice-President), Asiana Airlines has been recognized top in the category of flight service for years because of their innovative and unique in-flight entertainment such as the charming service and magic shows along with newly upgraded cabin facilities. Furthermore, service quality management and customer satisfaction management system enhanced the competitiveness.
Since its foundation in 1988, Asiana Airlines has continuously upgraded its safety and services with the philosophy of “Customer satisfaction through superiority in safety and service”. As a result, Asiana’s service has been recognized as the best in many assessments by Korean and foreign institutions. Asiana Airlines was chosen as the 2009 Airline of the Year by ATW (Air Transport World), the world’s most prestigious air transport magazine.

Meanwhile Asiana Airlines announced the the company will be operating a newly cabin upgraded Airbus 330-300(HL7792) on the Gimpo-Haneda route.
Asiana, in-order to provide the highest quality of service, finalized cabin upgrades for 16 aircraft this February. Asiana also acquired a new Airbus 330-300 carrier equipped with the same cabin specification of a Boeing 747. With the introduction of the newly upgraded A330, Asiana will be able to better satisfy their customers needs in a comfortable cabin environment.The upgraded specifications of the A330 includes wider seats, wider LCD monitors (Business Class :15”->15.4”, Travel Class (Economy) :6.4”->10.6”), improved resolution and processing speed of the AVOD (Audio/Video on Demand) system.
Other upgrades include raising the ceiling height and installing windows in the toilets in the Business Class zones.
The new cabin upgraded aircraft with its improved cabin environment is expected to appease to our continuously increasing Japanese route customers.
